Drop off and Pick up

We recognise that the start and end of the school day can be extremely busy. As a result, we encourage children to walk or cycle to school.  We also have a staggered start-time, children can be dropped into school between 8.45am - 9.00am at both schools. Pick-up timings are 3.05pm for Reception, 3.10pm for Years 1 and 2, 3.20pm for the
juniors.

Parking

If you use a car to drop your children off we would request that you are considerate to the residents living in the area. Please do not park on yellow lines or in front of driveways of our local residents. The Junior school car park on Conyers Avenue has parking for parents to use before and after school.  Please use the designated bays and do not block other parents in by leaving cars parked outside of the bay areas. The Infant school car park is for staff only and is always extremely full. We are committed to keeping everyone safe so request that you follow the rules we set out in order to avoid any accidents.

Late arrivals

If children arrive late to school they should enter the school via the main entrance accompanied by an adult. Entrance via the main offices allows us to register them to ensure they are accounted for and safe.

End of the Day

Children exit the buildings onto the school playgrounds. Staff are on duty to ensure that children are collected. If for unseen circumstances you are unable to pick up your child or are going to be late, please contact the school office as soon as possible so we can let your child know. Children are encouraged to wait with the duty teachers if they are unsure of arrangements.

Bicycle Shed

We have a bike shed at both the Infant and the Junior sites for storing bikes and scooters during the school day. An opportunity is provided for cycle training for children in KS2. We take part in a number of cycling events throughout the school year including: Bike to school breakfasts and Learn to Ride sessions. We promote the use of cycle helmets for children and adults riding to and from school.

Sustainable Transport

Wherever possible, we encourage children to walk or cycle to school to help them stay fit and to reduce congestion around the school.  We hold a number of events throughout the year designed to encourage healthy lifestyles and use of environmentally friendly transport.  The links below are helpful if you want to find out more about local initiatives supporting sustainable transport.
